Sisters Of Mercy Floorshow

I went to see a great band last night and one of their songs reminded me of this! I love this song. It definitely brings out my inner Goth!

Beatles All You Need Is Love

Quite simply, right now, I think the world could do with a lot more love!
We all have far more in common than we realise. We are all one people and we have the power to help everyone and everything.
This song says it all really!

Billy Idol, Dancing With Myself

I found myself singing this song. It is one of my guilty pleasures. I remember dancing to this as a teenager. I have liked it ever since!

Bluebells....Cath

I was driving home when I spotted some lovely bluebells and this song popped into my head!
I saw this band live many moons ago and naturally this song appeals to me as my name is Cath or Cathy!

I will probably be singing this all evening now!
I thought I would shake things up a bit by adding a photo of Foxgloves rather than Bluebells!

Talking Heads -Thank You For Sending Me An Angel

I have just put on some old CD's. I chose to put on 'Stop Making Sense' and 'Thank You For Sending Me An Angel' went down very well with me!
I leaped to my feet and started dancing around like a maniac. I forgot how much I love that song.
I like the whole album actually.
'Take Me To The River ' really sticks in my mind as I heard it on a coach trip many years ago. We got stuck driving around the outskirts of Paris as the driver got lost. The whole journey from ferry to hotel was so long that we ended up watching the film 'Stop Making Sense' twice.
It was a great holiday though. I took my kids when they were young.
My daughter found one of those scratch cards where they tell you that you have won a free holiday. You haven't really. In reality you have to phone a premium rate  number and what you win is not a free holiday. It is a reduced priced holiday.
My determined daughter insisted it was a totally free holiday so as a learning exercise, I agreed we would phone the premium number but she had to contribute toward the cost, using her pocket money.
To my surprise, she agreed to this so I phoned the number and the deal wasn't actually too bad.
We ended up having a lovely couple of days exploring Paris.
The journey home was challenging though as the coach dropped us back in London at something like 4 in the morning! We had to wait for the train station to open so we could go home.

To think, all these memories have been triggered by dancing to a song!

Declan McKenna Brazil

I was driving home after work and this delicious song came on the radio. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39r0QFD1oPM

I knew instantly who it was. I really loved The Kids Don't Wanna Come Home, I played it over and over again and now this....what can I say. I really like the sound, his voice, the way he considers the lyrics, all of it.
If you haven't heard this song before, sit down, put up your feet, play this, relax and enjoy!
When you have done that, check out Isombard too. What not to like?
